PSL Winners List: Every Pakistan Super League Champion (2016–2026)
Peshawar Zalmi are the Pakistan Super League champions. They beat newcomers Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in the 2026 final at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 3 May, bowling Hyderabad out for 129 and chasing it down in 15.2 overs. Australian all-rounder Aaron Hardie was player of the match with four wickets and 56 runs. It was Zalmi’s second title, nine years after their first.

The PSL story, season by season
2016–2019: the early years
The first PSL was played entirely in the UAE. Islamabad United won it, then again in 2018. Peshawar Zalmi’s 2017 win came in the first final held in Pakistan, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, an important step in bringing international-standard cricket back to the country. Quetta Gladiators, beaten finalists twice, finally won in 2019.
2020–2021: a season split by the pandemic
The 2020 playoffs were postponed by COVID-19 and played in November, when Karachi Kings beat Lahore Qalandars for their first title. Multan Sultans won their first title in 2021, in a season that was halted by COVID-19 cases and finished in Abu Dhabi.
2022–2025: the Lahore era
Lahore Qalandars finished bottom in each of their first four seasons and lost the 2020 final. Under Shaheen Shah Afridi they then won back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023, both times against Multan. In 2023 they won the final by one run. Islamabad beat Multan in the 2024 final, and Lahore collected a third title in 2025 against Quetta.
2026: eight teams and a Peshawar comeback
The league grew to eight teams for its 11th season. Hyderabad Kingsmen reached the final at the first attempt, but Peshawar Zalmi, beaten in three finals since their 2017 win, won comfortably to lift the trophy again.
How the PSL playoffs work
After a double round-robin league stage, the top four reach the playoffs. First plays second in Qualifier 1, and the winner goes straight to the final. Third plays fourth in the Eliminator, then the Eliminator winner meets the loser of Qualifier 1 for the second place in the final. It is the same system the IPL uses.
