This page explains how we produce our coverage, so you know what to expect and how to hold us to it.
Written by people
Every match verdict, player rating by Predict the Pitch and opinion piece is written and approved by a person who followed the game. We use software to collect scores and statistics and to help with research and proofreading, but it does not write or publish our opinions.
Sources
Scores, lineups and statistics come from licensed sports data providers. Highlights are embedded only from official league, club and broadcaster channels. Facts in guides are checked against official competition records.
Ratings
Our own player ratings are one writer’s judgement on a 1 to 10 scale. Fan ratings are averages of votes from readers, limited to one vote per player per device, with automated checks to filter spam and repeated voting. We do not edit fan averages.
Independence
We do not accept payment for ratings, verdicts or coverage decisions, and we do not work with betting companies. Any sponsored content will be clearly labelled as sponsored.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and, for anything more than a typo, add a note to the page saying what changed. Report errors to contact@predictthepitch.com.
